Almonds! Deep Rich Chocolate!
With just a touch of raw sugar and sea salt.
This recipe is so easy to make.
Chocolate Covered Sweet and Salty Almonds Clusters
Large baking sheet
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 45 hour
1 cup of American Heritage Historic Chocolate Drink Mix
1 16oz bag of whole almonds (raw and unsalted)
Turbinado sugar (or any coarse/raw sugar)
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
Place the chocolate in a medium heat-proof bowl. Melt in 30 second increments in the microwave, stirring after each increment until completely melted and smooth.
Stir the almonds into the chocolate, making sure to coat each one.
Dump chocolate covered Almonds on to a baking sheet covered with a piece of parchment paper.
Smooth almonds out so they are in a single layer.
Generously sprinkle tops almonds with sea salt and turbinado sugar.
Allow chocolate to completely set. Placed the baking sheet in the refrigerator to speed it up! (30 minutes)
Break apart almonds forming clusters of two or more chocolate cover almonds.
Store chocolate covered almonds in the refrigerator for up to 4 weeks.
Wow! The Clusters are sweet and crunchy with a bite salt.
