It’s snowing here in Boston, and it’s been snowing on Mondays for the past 3 weeks. There’s lots and lots of the white fluffy stuff, over 50 plus inches and still accumulating. We’re tired of shoveling, and there’s just no where else to put any more snow!
In thinking about the joys of being a child on snow days, what could make a day seem brighter? Snow cones or snow ice cream!
As luck would have it, American Heritage Chocolate posted on their Facebook page today a recipe for Chocolate Dessert Dip. With all this snow, why not make chocolate homemade snow ice cream with the recipe for chocolate dessert dip?!
Chocolate Dessert Dip
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
Bring the heavy cream and butter to a simmer. Add powdered sugar and stir quickly. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the chocolate, mixing until it is completely melted and the mixture is smooth. It’s quick and makes up in about 5 minutes. Once the pan is removed from the heat, set it aside to cool and collect 4 cereal bowls of freshly fallen, clean white snow and put them into a large mixing bowl. Pour the American Heritage Chocolate dip sauce into the snow and stir gently (about a minute or so) until thoroughly blended. Serve immediately.
Try it. You’ll feel like a kid again!
And happy snow day to you.
